We have signed off on our homestudy for H's little sibling and it's on the way to the government. Now we wait for approval, get fingerprinted, check the mailbox religiously, etc. I've heard it's running 6-8 weeks, which is longer than last time, but there's really nothing we can do about that.
We have no idea if H will have a little brother or a little sister. We're going the old fashioned way of waiting to find out the sex until we see it on Kodak paper. One thing's for certain though: if it's a boy, he'll be called Bruce. Because out of all the names H knows and loves (those of his cousins, aunts and uncles) the only one he can say clearly is Bruce. He says it with such gusto that it actually sounds more like "BRUUUSSSHHHHE!". Bruce is the shark in Nemo, therefore Bruce is the name for shark if you are a person who can't yet say shark. (Or if you sort of can and it comes out sounding more like rkik.) So rather than give the kid a name H can't say or watch him fumble for cutesy nicknames that stick for the rest of a little brother's life, we're just going to go with Bruce. Unfortunately, if it's a girl, we're going with Shark.
